Because of our extensive knowledge ofthis product, ElectricStep has established a close relationship with the commercial and passenger van community and is proud to offer this exceptional product. This van application is the only fully automatic van running board available on the market. Triggered by an electronic signal from the vehicle’s factory door sensors the step extends to a convenient step in height in about a second. Powered by an encased motor that is safely mounted under the vehicle. The running board lowers when any door is opened. Close the doors and the controller sends the automatic running board retracting to its original position. Fully retracted the body is protected and the tubluar style looks great! The step portion of the running board is a painted aluminum extrusion and is capable of handling up to 600 lbs. capacity per side. The step itself is over six inches wide allowing for good foot placement, and in the lowered position, it extends outward the full six inches allowing occupants to take more of a natural step in or out of the vehicle. A no-slip textured surface allows for usage in all weather conditions. The running board has been tested in a variety of environments and temperatures from negative 40F to 200F plus. The Chevy / GM van application kit utilizes an Amp Research Power Step in conjuction with precision manufacutred components to fit this vehicle. Use of the Amp Research Power Step in this configuration would be a non supported application according to Amp Research terms of use and therefore would not be covered by any Amp Research warranty.
